The Naked Truth

Our work is about capturing reality, like it is, no more, no less. Our goal is to get our 3D models of buildings so realistic you couldn’t tell them from reality when looking at them through a VR device. We think realistic 3D models are an excellent tool to visualize how changes in the physical environment, like a new building in a city block, will look like. To be able to spin it around in 3D and look from all angles, even less flattering ones, is a good thing.

On the other end there are dreamlike visualizations where the sun comes from angles it will never shine, kids and dogs playing in the foreground and backlit silhouettes on balconies. These kinds of visualizations are great for selling a vision, a dream, a story about the future. But from the stakeholders point of view, the politicians, the city planners and the next door neighbors those kinds of visualizations can be deceiving.

Here’s a part of a city block where one of the buildings are going to be replaced with a bigger, modern taller one. Switch between the old building and the new one in the upper left corner and have a look around for yourself!
